Sharon McCandless Pollaehne

HUNTINGTON-Sharon McCandless Pollaehne, 55, passed away May 10, 2018 at her home.
She was born Aug. 30, 1962 in Price, Utah to William Edward and Carolyn Tew McCandless. On June 25, 1984, she married the love of her life, Andrew Karl Pollaehne in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Emery County and a graduate of Emery High Class of 1980. She also graduated from the College of Eastern Utah where she actively participated in Debate and was a National Champion in Speech for C.E.U. She also attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
Sharon’s life revolved around her family, especially her children. She was an animal lover who was fond of her dogs.
Sharon was very artistic, creative and she could design just about anything. She loved to paint, garden, arrange flowers and care for her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Andy Pollaehne, four sons, Matthew Pollaehne, Nathan Pollaehne, Cannon Pollaehne, all of Huntington; Tanner (Heather) Pollaehne, Richfield; mother, Carolyn McCandless, brothers, Michael (Helen) McCandless, Wayne (Juanita) McCandless, all of Huntington; sisters-in-law, Karen McCandless, Orem, Doralynne (Donald) LaMunyon, St. Helens, Ore.; numerous nieces, nephews and a community of friends.
Preceded in death by her father, Ted McCandless; and brother, Don McCandless.
Funeral service, Wednesday, May 16, 2018, 11 a.m., Huntington LDS Stake Center. Family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment, Huntington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Sharon online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
