The Emery County Cal Ripken Majors finished out the season with the Cleveland Indians as champions. The championship game included the Indians and the Castle Dale Tigers.
The Tigers jumped out to an early 5 run lead in the top of the first inning.
During the following innings both teams showed some good hitting and added a few runs.
Cleveland came up to bat in the bottom of the 6th inning with a 10-5 deficit. Donning their rally caps they fought back scoring 5 runs and forced the game into extra innings.
During three more innings both teams displayed good pitching and some spectacular defensive play.
A key play came in the top of the 8th when the Cleveland shortstop completed a 6-6-3 triple play to end the Castle Dale scoring threat.
Then during the bottom of the 9th, with a runner on third and a full count, Cleveland ended the game with a clutch walk-off RBI.
The Cleveland Indians finished the season with a record of 10 -1.
