CASTLE DALE – Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and longtime friend, Earl Lewis Farley, 81, passed away May 31, 2018 in Price, Utah.
He was born Nov. 11, 1936 in Provo, Utah to Forest Lewis and Annie Mecham Farley. Married the love of his life, Clara Marlene Glazier, Sept. 21, 1955 in the Manti Temple. They were married for 62 years and together they raised eight children who stayed very close and all reside in Utah.
Earl was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held the office of a Seventy. He served in many callings, but his favorite was missionary work. He had many interests: he loved hunting, fishing and camping. Earl was a staunch supporter of the Castle Valley Pageant and was involved from the very beginning. He took great pleasure in his family and was widely known for his dancing prowess.
Earl was very theatrical and a great story teller. He loved dabbling in everything, from training horses, gold mining and was passionate about mineralogy. Earl was a tireless worker who retired from the Iron Workers Union Local after 25 years of dedicated service. His years of labor have come to an end and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Earl is survived by his children, Earlene (Ken) Christiansen, Emery Utah, Balinda Bair, Gunnison Utah, Danny Farley, Castle Dale, Utah, Anita (Bret) Mills, Castle Dale, Utah, Christy (Dean) Collard, Huntington Utah, Helen Morgan, Huntington, Utah, Kyle (Misty) Farley, Castle Dale, Doug (Danielle) Farley, Castle Dale, Utah. Together Earl and Marlene had 39 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren, not counting the others they adopted. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
