Guy Karl Seely

Clawson – Guy Karl Seely, 88, passed away May 27, 2018 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah with family at his side. He was born Feb. 16, 1930 in Castle Dale, Utah to Karl Antone and Cora Guymon Seely. He married Carolyn Woodworth. She passed away Jan. 18, 2008. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan.
He was raised in Castle Dale, Utah and was a life long resident of Emery County except for three years he spent in Denver, Colo. He attended Emery County Schools. He went on to Utah State University and graduated with a two year degree with an emphasis in Engineering. He worked at Martin Missile Plant and for many years as a Sheep Herder and Rancher.
Guy loved to go camping, fishing, rock hounding and Indian Lore. He made his own wine and beer. He was a collector of arrow heads and Indian Pottery. He was a “Jack of All Trades”. He had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. His favorite past time was loving and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his Children: Tony Aragon (Kathy), Cathy Aragon-Rice (Michael), Richelle Taylor (Randy); seven Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Grandchild and Siblings: Dorothy Barlow (Gary) and James Seely. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife; Son: Patrick Aragon and Siblings: Thomas Seely, Jane Poulsen and Montell Seely.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Noon at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. A viewing was held one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden where Military Honors were accorded. A Celebration of his life will be held in Clawson in the near future.
The family would like to thank his friends and neighbors in Clawson for their friendship and kindness given to Guy.
