And just like that, our rodeo season is over. We have some very talented kiddos here in our little part of the world! State finals standings have one of our members going to represent at Nationals and six more finishing in the top 10. Hayden Cloward finished up in 3rd place in team roping and 6th in tiedown roping and will be going to Rock Springs in July to compete in Team Roping at National Finals. Shaylee Gilbert finished fifth in breakaway, Will and Wyatt Magnuson ended up 10th in Team Roping, and in the reined cowhorse event Korby Christiansen was seventh overall, Riata Christiansen eighth, and Drake Weber 10th.
Not only did they have an amazing year but some of them also brought home some hardware a.k.a. buckles from go-rounds at the State Finals.
We will take a quick breath and get started on signing up for next year’s rodeos which are set to kick off Aug. 17-18.
