The week of the 4th of July will include events beginning with the Huntington Men’s Glee club on July 1 at 7 p.m. The celebration promises to be three fun-filled days of entertainment, food, vendors and children’s fun. The celebration will culminate Wednesday night with the fireworks show from the rodeo grounds at dark, around 9:45pm. Good seating can be had at both the middle school and at the ball complex.
Entertainment for the week includes two shows this year by Hypno Hick. The first performance by the hypnotist and his gullible victims will be Tuesday night at around 8 p.m. The second show will be Wednesday afternoon at around 1-1:30pm.
A group from Phoenix, Arizona will perform on Wednesday right after the parade. The group is called Red Head Express and their main musical instrument is a fiddle. Leading off the Tuesday evening entertainment will be a group from Utah County called High Strung. The group features two young women on the fiddle and their type of music is bluegrass.
On Monday night the Val Jensen band will perform for a couple of hours starting around 6 p.m. and they will be followed by DJ Wacy Allred and his music. Tuesday night ends with the children fireworks show on the baseball field in the park.
