Increased fire restrictions coming to the Manti-LaSal forest

PRICE, Utah, July 5–Due to continued drier, hotter weather, the Manti-La Sal National Forest will begin implementing fire restrictions on the Ferron-Price and Sanpete Ranger Districts Monday, July 9. Fire restrictions are currently in place on the Moab-Monticello District of the Forest. All restrictions will continue until Nov. 1, 2018 or until rescinded.
The fire restrictions on the Ferron-Price and Sanpete Ranger Districts prohibits igniting, building, maintaining, or using a fire, including charcoal and briquettes, outside a fire structure that is provided by the Forest Service within a designated area such as a campground.
People may use a stove or grill that is solely fueled by liquid petroleum fuels.
Smoking outside of an enclosed vehicle or building is also prohibited by the restrictions, unless the smoker is stopped in an area at least 3 feet in diameter that is clear of all flammable materials.
Fireworks are always banned, every day, on every National Forest.
