SPRING GLEN-Our loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle and beloved friend, Terry Joe “Bob” Hansen, 42, passed away July 13, 2018 at Utah Valley Hospital while surrounded by his loving family from complications of a Bee Sting.
On Feb. 5, 1976, Bob was born in Price, Utah to Terry Joe and Leslie Hansen and from the moment his feet hit the ground, he was off and running. Bob loved anything that was fast. He loved the thrill of horse racing, NASCAR and dirt bikes. Bob was always in high gear, however he was swept off his feet when he met and married, Teresa Dawn Fillmore. They married on Sept. 11, 1999 in Helper, Utah and were blessed with two girls, Gentrie and Maya.
Bob was a lifelong resident of Carbon County who valued hard work and family. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1994 where he excelled in rodeo. After graduation, he followed his dream and rode bulls professionally. Bob was never scared to throw his hat in any arena and he was willing to help anyone. At the time of his passing he was working at the Hunter Prep Plant where he loved operating heavy equipment. He was a longtime employee of Canyon Fuel where he was an EMT and on the mine rescue for years. Bob wore many hats, but his most favorite one was being daddy. His little ladies wrapped him around their fingers from the first moment. He became a teacher, cheerleader, pet wrangler, chauffeur and snuggle bunny just to begin with. Bob loved to vacation and never passed up an opportunity to be with family. Bob touched the lives of many and his memory will be cherished for generations.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Hansen, and their beautiful daughters, Gentrie Jo and Maya B., mother, Leslie Hansen, all of Spring Glen; brothers, Brian (Jody) Hansen, Price, Damian Hansen, Spring Glen; grandfather, Earl (Glenda) Hansen, Spring Glen; in-laws, Blair Fillmore, Jacob Fillmore, Brandon (Kacey) Fillmore, all of Lawrence; uncles, Kevin (Kathy) Hansen, Kerry (Denise) Hansen, David Hansen, all of Spring Glen.
