Russell Jensen Emery town honored Citizen.
Russell was born Oct. 7, 1941 in Emery Utah. He had a great childhood which a lot of it was spent in the mountains with his family. After high school Russell was drafted into the army from 1967 to 1969. He left Emery for 17 years and returned in 1976 and has lived here ever since. He worked 10 years for the soil conservation service, and worked for the coal mine until it closed down around 1992. Farming then became his life as he helped his father on the family farm. Russell enjoys farming very much. In 2013 Russell decided it was time to sell the farm. Russell was the Emery water master for 20 years. He serves as commander of the American legion. He has walked the American flag each year in our parade. He also spent many years as a volunteer EMT for Emery Town. Russell loves to fish almost as much as he loves his family. Russell has three children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He has been married to Betty for 45 years. We are pleased to have Russell Jensen for our honored citizen.
