A three vehicle collision this afternoon shut down SR-10 for hours between Huntington and Castle Dale while the scene was cleaned up. Traffic was diverted through Lawrence.
A vehicle apparently crossed the center line and sideswiped another vehicle with a single passenger. A third vehicle, a pick-up, then hit the car that had been sideswiped sending this vehicle off the road. The first vehicle ended up going off the road on the opposite side as the vehicle it struck.
Passengers were treated at the scene for cuts and abrasions and the man in the vehicle that was sideswiped was taken by ambulance to Castleview Hospital.
The vehicles were being cleaned up by Wards Towing and the road will be reopened. Utah Highway Patrol troopers were on scene and are investigating the crash.
There were several witnesses to the accident and all were being questioned and they were writing statements.
