In the Oct. 2, issue of the Emery County Progress held an article concerning a recent Castle Dale City Council meeting. The article stated that the City donated $4,722 in wages paid to workers, supplies waived fees and waived cost for lights to the High School Rodeo Club’s fundraiser the Cowboy Memorial Rodeo. While this is nice that a governmental entity is able to help out local school groups, one might ask if a precedent has been set for other high school clubs to also receive such financial help from the City? Other school clubs and groups can use financial help as well.
