Emery County boys and girls age 9 and up are encouraged to attend a Baseball Camp which will be held on April 1-2 at the Huntington ball complex. On April 1 from 4 p.m. until dark players can sign up for personal one-on-one instruction. On April 2 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. professional players and high school coaches will conduct the training which includes pitching, hitting, catching, infield and outfield training. Campers fee $25. Personal instruction $25. Contact Shaun Bell for more information at 749-2237. You can register at the baseball signups or on the day of the camp. Instructors include: Angelo Ceroni, Angels, Ryan Pond, Angels, Frank Pezely, Texas Rangers, Mike Burrow, Seattle Mariners, John Pezely, UBA Taylorsville baseball coach, Troy Norris, UBA Skyline High School baseball coach.

Major League-fifth and sixth grade and Minor League third and fourth grade sign up cost – $35.
Rookie League-first and second grade sign up cost – $25.
Play begins third week of April, practice begins end of March.
Millsite golf course is open and ready for play. The recent warm weather has melted the snow on the course and the green covers have been removed leaving green grass for golfers anxious to begin spring play.
The Emery County Progress will now be delivered to Green River on Tuesday afternoons. The paper will be in post office boxes by approximately 4 p.m. each Tuesday. Residents are encouraged to subscribe to the paper. A three month special is available for $1. You can also subscribe for one year for $19.
