The Emery County Education Council along with the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum sponsored four camps this past week at Castle Dale Elementary.
The first camp was a mini dino camp with smaller children. Tuesday and Wednesday two sessions of dino camp were held and on Thursday was the archaeology day camp. The students learned much about the dinosaur and their history. They had a booklet of activities and painted dinosaurs, dug for dinosaur bones and other dino related activities. The archaeology camp included making a dream catcher, making an arrowhead necklace, painting figurines, grinding corn and learning about Indian history and searching for artifacts.
