HELPER-Aaron Sidney Truscott, age 61, died Oct. 27, 2009 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo from complications of Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) disease.
He was born Sept.18, 1948 to the loving parents of Leo William and Leonora Gigliotti Truscott.
Aaron was a graduate of Carbon High School, and had earned three degrees (machine tool service, metallurgy, and life science) from the College of Eastern Utah. He joined the US Navy, serving in Vietnam and Australia. When his father, suffered a heart attack Aaron left Chicago Bridge and Iron and returned home to run the family business. He was sole proprietor of Truscott Service Grinding and Repair.
Aaron excelled at many artistic and recreational endeavors including playing guitar, photography, gardening, cooking, and riding his motorcycle. He was an avid reader and an American Patriot. Overall, he was passionate for “la dolce vita” (the sweet life).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo William and Leonora Gigliotti Truscott, and a sister, Leona Truscott.
Aaron is survived by one brother and two sisters, Leo Paul (Diane) Truscott, Sheila (Michael) Colbenson, Marie Camille (John) Lentsch; his children, Shishonia Livingston, Angelina Camille Truscott, Luke Aaron (Claudia) Truscott, Micalena Mae (Louis) Riche, and Travis Mathews Truscott.
Funeral services were held Sat., Oct. 31, 2009, 10 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. An evening Vigil service with a viewing was held Friday at 7 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price. Friends are welcome to join the family at Mitchell’s Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment was in the Mt. View Cemetery in Helper.
