PRICE-Constantine John “CJ” Lionakis, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at his home in Price at the age of 32.
CJ was born in Salt Lake City on Aug. 26, 1978. He graduated from Reitz High School in Evansville, Ind. and attended the University of Utah. On June 2, 2004 CJ married Darmel Gamangasso. They later divorced.
An active fisherman, CJ loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, riding his bike, and golf. Growing up, CJ was active in hockey, martial arts, basketball, and baseball. He loved animals, particularly his pet dogs Petey and Sierra and cats Jinks and Noonoo. CJ was known for his sensitivity, kindness, and quiet nature.
CJ is survived by brother, Tommy Palm; sister, Amber (Don) Withaar; parents, Peter J. Lionakis and Cherie Palm, stepfather, Art Palm; grandparents, John and Rose Lionakis; uncles, John (Kathleen) Lionakis, George Lionakis and Dominic (Jill) Oliveto; aunts, Joy (Alex) Hashtroudi, Stacey (Dave) Byrd, and Joni Westbrook; niece, Paris Withaar; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Dominic and Janet Oliveto.
Funeral services Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell’s Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment Price City Cemetery.
