"Linda Marie Harvey"

By By

(1948 – 2011)
FERRON-Linda Marie Harvey, Heaven called back a special angel. Mom was selected on Sept. 30, 2011 to pass through the veil to be with loved ones and family. Born Sept. 7, 1948 to Austin Anthony Buck and Charlene Kerr, she was raised in Salt Lake City with two sisters and a brother; Karen Evans, Kathy Bigner, and Randy Buck. Shortly after graduating from the University of Utah, she was swept off of her feet and married in the Salt Lake City Temple to her Husband of 37 years Sid Hunter Harvey.
Soon after marrying, Mom gave up her teaching career to raise three boys and a daughter. She taught the simple truths of the gospel, sharing stories of her mission serving the Native American population in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Canada and instructing humbly to do the right thing for the right reason. Mom was a teacher and a friend. She found joy in the simple pleasures life has to offer. Mom loved to watch caterpillars turn into butterflies, smell the air after rain, grow beautiful flowers and tend the garden. She exemplified charity through example, giving and caring for others.
Mom was blessed with an extension of life after being the recipient of a liver transplant. This extra time brought her the greatest joy as she made sure to take the time to express her love to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Mom was so proud of her family; she loved her boys but truly had a soft spot for her daughter and 10 grandchildren.
We will miss her contagious smile and laugh, her kind heart and unconditional willingness to give. Mom left us with so many cherished memories. We were blessed in the final days of her sickness to care for her and share wonderful memories. She faced her final trials true to how she lived her life, with courage and dignity, a true angel in every respect. We will always treasure the time we had with you, we love you, and will truly miss you until we are reunited.
She is survived by her husband Sid Hunter Harvey of Ferron; children: Grant Alexander Harvey of Price; Greg Harvey of West Jordan; Clay Harvey of West Jordan; and Marie Harvey of Cedar City. She is also survived by her mother: Charlene Kerr Jensen of West Valley; sister Karen Evans of Kearns; brother Randy Buck of West Valley; nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Austin Buck; step-father, Hal Jensen; and sister, Kathy Bigner.
