The golf season is in full swing at Millsite Golf Course. The ladies golf on Tuesday mornings, the Senior Citizens on Wednesday mornings and the Mens League on Thursdays.
The ladies started off their season with an opening social recently. They went over the golfing schedule and the runaways to golf at Price, Palisades, Richfield and Green River golf courses.
Laura Rasmussen is the ladies golf association president with Patsy Stoddard as vice president; Janice Wagner as secretary and Adele Huntington as treasurer. Rasmussen encouraged the ladies to sign up for the activities at the shot gun starts and for the clinics for driving, chipping and putting.
Golf pro Jordan Leonard spoke at the opening social. He explained the rules of play at Millsite and welcomed the ladies to the course and he said he was looking forward to a great year. He mentioned upcoming tournaments at the golf course including the Miss Emery Fundraiser Golf tournament on May 5 and the Relay for Life fundraiser golf tournament on May 12. You can get involved with a tournament by calling the golf course at 384-2887. If you don’t have a team, let Jordan know and he can find someone to golf with you. He encouraged everyone to get involved with the tournaments at the course.
The restaurant Hole in One is open at the golf course and serving Mexican and American food every day of the week from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. The golf course is open from daylight to dark each day of the week.
