Castleview Hospital Acquires Eastern Utah Surgical Center Hospital and surgical center to operate as one to improve healthcare delivery throughout eastern Utah
Castleview Hospital and Eastern Utah Surgical Center announced they will join forces to strengthen the surgical services available to patients in central and eastern Utah. Effective Oct. 1, Eastern Utah Surgical Center will be acquired by Castleview Hospital and renamed Castleview Hospital Surgery Center.
It will continue to operate at its current location at 200 N. Fairgrounds Road, Suite 1, in Price.

Castleview Hospital’s acquisition of Eastern Utah Surgical Center offers significant benefits to patients. By joining forces, the organizations can enhance healthcare services provided in Price and throughout the region, more efficiently respond to the growing demand for surgical services, and create a stronger continuum of care for all patients.
Eastern Utah Surgical Center will operate as a department of Castleview Hospital. Its six surgeons, who specialize in pediatric dentistry, dentistry, ophthalmology and oculoplastics surgical services, will join Castleview’s medical staff. These surgeons are: Jeffrey E. Hansen, MD; Timothy Byers, MD, PhD;
Conley Call, MD; Trace Lund, DDS; Kevin Markham, DDS Bret Lowe, DDS.
The transition of Eastern Utah Surgical Center to a department of Castleview Hospital should be seamless for all patients, and there will be no changes in the surgical center’s services or staff. Patients with questions about this transition may call 435-637-8689.
