The Green River Pirates basketball team will play the first game this Wednesday morning of the Utah State 1-A boys basketball tournament when they will face Tintic in a game starting at 10 am.

Monument Valley finished third with Pinnacle Academy fourth, Whitehorse fifth and Navajo Mountain sixth.
In the final region game, Monticello defeated Green River 76-53. Green River was outscored in each of the four periods. Scoring for the Pirates were TJ Hughes with 15 points, Jon Mendez with 14 points, Nick Corrigan with 8 points, Chance Pfander with 7 points and Spencer Marshall with 6 points. The 1-A tournament is being played at the Sevier Valley Center and a champion will be crowned Saturday evening.
