Terry Andrew Larsen, age 45, passed away Sept. 21, 2015 in Galveston, Texas. Terry, and his twin brother Travis, were born Jan. 1, 1970 in Price, Utah, to Keith Gary and Emma Lee Litster Larsen.
He grew up in Huntington, Utah and attended Emery High School where he was the President of the band. He was a member of the National Honor Society, ran track during his senior year of high school, he was on the first Emery High School football team to take state. He attended Southern Utah University on a music scholarship where he played the french horn and was a member of the Chamber and Symphonic Bands. While at SUU he joined the Sigma Nu Fraternity and made life long friends while giving service in the community. He served a two year Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Japan Sapporro Hokkaido Mission, where he completely fell in love with the Japanese people. After returning home he worked at SUU teaching English to the foreign students with the ESL program and transcribed the Japanese language for the University. He also studied at Kyoto University in Japan. He became a tour guide in Las Vegas and later became director of operations of Financial Solutions. He met the love of his life Mariko Mizuno and they were married on April 2, 1996. He was a very successful Real Estate agent in Las Vegas, Nev. and Galveston, Texas and was a regular on the “Flipping Vegas” Television Show. Terry and Mariko adopted two dachshund dogs, “Sammy” and “Sasha”, who were their pride and joy! He moved to Galveston, Texas in 2014 and continued to work in the Real Estate business. Terry was very generous and enjoyed people and made many great friends from around the world. He adored his nieces and nephews and was so proud of their accomplishments! He loved to travel and found peace and solitude by the ocean. Terry had a great sense of humor and especially loved to laugh at himself.
Terry is survived by his parents; Gary (Michael) Larsen of Huntington, Utah and Emma Lee Litster Larsen of Castle Dale, Utah. Grandfather Keith Larsen of Huntington, Utah along with brother, Robert Keith (Ann) Larsen of Ferron, Utah and sisters Gay Lee (Jarold) Jeffs of Vernal, Utah and Debbie (Mike) Nielson of Fairview, Utah. And many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his twin brother Travis Vaughn Larsen, grandparents Robert & Ruth Litster, Grandmother Joyce Larsen and Nephew Jaames Skylure Jeffs.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Huntington 3rd Ward Chapel (215 N Main, Huntington, Utah). Both viewings were held at the Church. One on Friday Sept. 25, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday Sept. 26, 2015 from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
