The Emery High girls’ soccer team won twice as they defeated Grand 4-3 in overtime then defeated North Sevier 4-0. Against Grand, the Red Devils scored three times in the first half of play to appear to be well on their way to winning this region contest.
But the second half was all Emery as Morgan Hurdsman scored once and Preslee Bringhurst scored twice and Emery tied the score in regulation.
Jocee Funk hit the game winner in overtime to give Emery the win.
Against the Wolves Mileena McElvaney recorded a shutout as the Emery goalie while Hurdsman would score twice and Addy Healy and Bringhurst would each add a goal in the game.
Emery hosted Gunnison and lost this match 6-1.
They lost to Manti at home. They traveled to Grand where they lost 2-1. Their last home match is Tuesday.
