Faith and Belief

Dear Editor,
Some people carry religion in their mind, this is called belief. For others it penetrates the heart, this is called faith.
Belief is the foundation of the ego. The ego, while protective in its nature, becomes the cause of separation. The separation is between ones self and the divine. With the acceptance that mind is just subtle matter it is easy to understand.
So let it go! Let it all go. Just like a backpack full of rocks. It weighs down the body. A mind full of protective beliefs weighs down the soul. The challenge is vulnerability.
The state of vulnerability is comparable to perfectly tilled soil. Growth is inevitable. If a plant could become afraid and create an ego it would block out the sun. Well people do become afraid. They do create egos and they do block out the divine.
To make it to adulthood without an ego is the feat of a master. The rest of us eat the fruit to one extent or another. Innocence lost, separation gained, ie tree of knowledge. But isn’t that life.
A child is in bliss, ignorant bliss, then the knowledge of suffering enters the childs life and most probably an ego. Luckily, ignorance isn’t the only bliss. Through awareness and acceptance eventually the realization will happen. Ignorance is the bliss of a child, while authenticity is the bliss of a master.
