Emery wrestlers defeat Juan Diego 54-10

The Spartan wrestling team defeated region foe Juan Diego 54-10 in a region wrestling match held at Emery High School. Emery won every match on the night except two.
The night started with four JV matches. Hayden Hatch at 125, Jake Gardner at 145, Twayn Hatch at 145 and Caleb Jones at 285 all pinned their men. Hayden is the only one that went into the second round.
Zach Walls at 119 built a 13-4 advantage before he pinned his man in the third round. McKay Allred at 125 was tied at 2-2 when he pinned his man in the first round. Skyler Jensen at 130 was leading 5-4 when he got over aggressive and got pinned. He had his man in a near fall before he was reversed.
Craig Guymon at 135 took his man down and pinned him almost immediately in the first round. Kessler Tanner at 140 was one of two Spartans that wrestled all three rounds. Tanner came away with an 18-10 decision. Wacey Guymon at 145 took down his man and pinned him.
Landon Huntsman at 152 was leading 7-5 in the second round when he pinned his opponent. Kaedan Murdock at 160 also went all three rounds and won a 12-7 decision. Mike Jones at 171 was leading 10-8 in the second round when he pinned his guy.
Drew Bohn at 189 took down his man and pinned him and brother Wade Bohn at 215 won by default. Cyal Christmas at 285 pinned his man in the first round after trailing 4-2.
