The Southeast Utah Bikers Against Child Abuse(B.A.C.A.) spends the day at RUCD Headstart in Huntington. The chapter had the enjoyment of spending the day with the kids at RUCD Headstart in Huntington on Nov. 14.
While there, bike helmet safety was discussed with the kids. Each student received a certificate from the B.A.C.A. chapter for a new bike helmet, with a special thanks going out to the Southeastern Utah Health District for once again helping the B.A.C.A. chapter acquire helmets for the kids. The kids also got a temporary tattoo, and a chance to have their pictures taken on the B.A.C.A. members motorcycles. The chapter then stayed with the class and volunteered their time to help the Headstart with their much needed in kind volunteer hours to help them retain their grants to remain opened for the kids. Contact Headstart at 687-5301 for more details. During the volunteer time the chapter spent time reading with the kids, enjoying outdoor fun, and a picnic with the kids.
