Millsite Closure


As many of you have enjoyed countless hours of recreation at the Millsite State Park, concerned citizens would like your opinions about the announcement to close it. A special public hearing will be held on April 3, at 6 p.m. in the Ferron City Hall at 15 East Main. Your input at this time is vital. For questions call 384-2350.

Castle Dale Egg Hunt


The Castle Dale Youth Council will be sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt on Wed., March 27, beginning at 5 p.m. sharp at Cheddar Field. Children ages 0-12 are invited to attend this fun, safe, and happy Easter activity. For more information call 381-2115.

Phantom of the Opera

Dinosaurs are History


The Emery County Historical Society will feature guest speaker Ramal Jones, who will give a new look at dinosaurs on March 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Museum of the San Rafael. For information on the society, call President JoAnn Behling at 384-2666.

Passover-Pasch

Certify in Hunter Education


Your final chance to become certified as an instructor in Hunter Education this year will be on April 1, in Price at the Division of Wildlife Resources office at 475 W. Price River Drive at from 7-10 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, seminar classes run for three weeks. Hoping for a good turn-out as instructors are needed in Central Utah. Easter Egg Hunt


April 1 at 12 o’clock sharp is the Huntington Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt for children 1-8 years of age. A visit from a “special clown” and fun and treats for all. For more information, call Eldon Holmes at 687-9235.

Immunization Policy Changes


Effective April 1, the co-pay for VFC immunizations will increase. Medicaid and CHIP can still be billed; must show your card at time of visit. For prices and if you have other questions please call the Southeastern Utah Health Department prior to your visit for immunizations, 381-2252.

Benefit Yard Sale


Cottonwood Elementary in Orangeville is holding a benefit yard sale for Christy Bingham’s daughter Anna and husband Larry Johansen, who have tiny twins who are still in intensive care. Bingham’s fellow teachers and the students would like to help this family so the yard sale will be held April 4, from Noon through 6 p.m. Please bring your donation items to the school on April 2 and 3.

Habitat Happenings


Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country will hold a Lot Clean-up Day from 9-12 in Valley View subdivision in Castle Dale on April 6. Help needed. Signing up teams for Golf Fundraiser in Green River on April 20. Win great trips and prizes. Bowl for fun and prizes at the Country Lanes in Carbonville on May 4. Girls Softball Sign-ups

World of the Wild


Utah’s Hogel Zoo’s call for the “wild” is going out once again to all Utah artists with a 9th Annual Art Show taking place now until April 14. Catch this “World of the Wild” exhibit and see your favorite animals at the same time.

MS Walk/Walkers


You can walk for MS (Multiple Sclerosis), sponsor a walker or make a donation. This year’s 4.7 mile walk will be in Provo on April 20, at 9:30 a.m., starting at Fort Utah Park at 100 North Geneva Road. Volunteers Needed

Beautification Cleanup


Castle Dale is conducting its Spring Beautification Cleanup. Dumpsters will be at Center and 200 North, 600 North 75 East, 200 West 630 North, and at rodeo grounds100 South 325 East. No curb-side pickup this year; call City Hall if you have something that will not fit in dumpster! The Burn Window is March 30-April 27. Due to drought conditions, there will be water restrictions; plan your planting and watering needs now.

State Medical makes available power (electric) wheel chairs to senior citizens and premanently disabled of any age people, usually at no-out-of-pocket-expense if they qualify. No deposit is required. Call 1-800-340-8525.
