Emery Track Hosts Meet

The Emery High Track Team hosted a track meet at the high school on April 24.
In competition for the Emery girls in the 100 Hurdles Jennifer Nielson placed 2nd with a time of 16.9. Kelsie Anderson also participated in hurdles. In the 100 meters Gwen Coyne placed 2nd with a time of 13.08. Jessica Christensen and Nikki Sebring also participated in the 100 meters. The Emery 4×100 relay team placed 1st with a time of 52.8.
In the 400 meters Ashley Conover, Amber Nielson and Raquel Cox participated.
In the 200 meters Gwen Coyne placed 2nd with a time of 27.72. In the 4×400 relay Emery took 4th with a time of 4.49.44. Participating in the shot put was Brandi Jensen with a throw of 26.1 and Cortni Jensen with a throw of 28.11.
In the girls javelin Mindi Larsen placed 6th with a throw of 88.8. Also participating were Nicole Sanders and Leslie Sanders with a throw of 82.9. In the girls discus Mindi Larsen placed first with a throw of 104.5. Also participating was Ashley VanWagoner. Allison Wells place 3rd in the long jump with a jump of 15.3.
In boys track: Kendal Lofley participated in the 3200 meters with a time of 12:52, Chris Ouzts also participated with a time of 12:56. In the 100 meter Louis Duke placed 2nd with a time of 11.5, Richard Sejkora was 3rd with a time of 11.75. Also participating was Daniel Farr with a time of 11.87, Seth Cox with a time of 12.09, Danny Romano with a time of 12.38, Jared Malone with a time of 12.46 and Chris Keller with a time of 13.68.
In the 1600 meter Chris Bernard was 4th with a time of 4.56.61, Steven Malolo was 5th with a time of 5.01.55. Also participating was Kendal Lofley with a time of 5.41.26, Leo Wright with a time of 5:45.76, Curt Jensen with a time of 5.46.06 and Chris Ouzts with a time of 6.05.09.
Emery placed 1st in the 4×100 meter. Louis Duke placed 1st in the 400 meter with a time of 52.73, Boe Jensen was 4th with a time of 54.86. Also participating was Kendal Lofley with a time of 1.03.10. In the 300 hurdles Daniel Farr placed 1st with a time of 44.31. Dillion Hickok also participated with a time of 46.11. Emery took first in the 1600 medley relay. Steve Malolo took 6th in the 800 meter with a time of 2.14.05. Mike Reed also participated with a time of 2.22.93 and Chris Ouzts with a time of 3.05.92.
In the 200 meter Louis Duke finished 2nd with a time of 23.53. Richard Sejkora finished 4th with a time of 24. Also participating were Seth Cox 24.64 and Spencer Westwood with a time of 26.47, Kendal Lofley with a time of 27.88 and Chris Ouzts with a time of 31.85. The Emery team placed 5th in the 4×400 relay. Chad Taylor placed 6th in the high jump with a jump of 5’6. Also participating were Curt Jensen, Jared Malone and Steven Daley. Jared Malone placed 1st in the long jump with a jump of 20 1/2. Kenny Eley placed 7th in the shot put with a throw of 38’5.5. Also participating was Chad Bingham with a throw of 35’4 and Jake Jensen with a throw of 31″10. Dustin Brown and Jacob Powell also threw. Jordan Jenkins took 1st in the discus with a throw of 136’7. Jeremy Christiansen took 3rd with a throw of 119’7.
