David Parkin
PRICE-David Andrew Parkin, age 31, passed away Jan. 20, 2005 in Price.
David was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He was born June 4, 1973 in Murray to Ron and Marlene Parkin.
Dave is survived by his son, Carson; his mother; his brothers, Shane and Robert; his twin sister, Diane; and his close friends. There was never a time that Dave could not be depended upon to help his family or his friends. Dave had serious health problems and he sacrificed his life to be with his family when his father was dying. Dave was a very private person and he did not owe anyone, friends or family, an explanation for his health conditions.
Dave lived for his son, Carson, and he prayed that he would get to spend more time with him. There was not a day when he did not think of that little guy and Dave always bragged about how smart Carson was and how athletic he was, just like his father.
Dave was the glue that held his entire family together; he was constantly on the phone with one relative or another. He never looked down on anyone and he offered his hand when someone was feeling low.
Dave, we all loved you and you were special to your family. We will watch over your son for you and give him the love that you would have expected. You were the greatest brother, son and father. We will never forget you and we will always be with you.
We would like to say thanks to our special family members and special friends. We would not have survived without their kind hearts and donations to help us get through these tough times. In addition, a special thank you to Mitchell Funeral Home and the police officers who gave us comfort on the day of Dave’s passing. You will not be forgotten.
Funeral services were held Fri. Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price.
