Coming to Emery High from Orem, the Utah Valley State College Ballroom Dance Company will perform at the high school auditorium on March 23, at 7:30 p.m. This award-winning ballroom dance company is the current titleholder of the Open British Formation Championships, held annually in Blackpool, England.
The UVSC group has held this title twice before, competing against an international array of competitive teams. The concert at Emery High School will include two competitive formation numbers as well as other entertaining pieces featuring waltz, cha cha, foxtrot, rumba, swing, and New York Hustle.
A highlight of the show will be a performance by Emery High students in ballroom classes taught by Darrell Gardner. Don’t miss this exciting evening. Tickets will be sold at the door, $5 per seat or $20 per family.
