Jeff Tuttle is running for Orangeville City Council
My name is Jeff Tuttle and I am running for a position on the Orangeville City Council. I have lived in Orangeville for the past 27 years, where my wife and I have raised our four children.
I enjoy serving on the city council and being a part of the many improvements and activities that make our city a great place to live. I would appreciate your vote on Nov. 6.
Patrick Sundstrom is running for Emery City Council
My name is Patrick Sundstrom and I am seeking re-election to the Emery Town Council. My family moved to Emery in 1975. I graduated from Emery High in 1986 and served six years in the United States Air Force. I am employed at Live Earth Products in Emery. I got out of the Military because my wife, Heather, and I knew Emery was the only place to raise our children, Mark and Jolee. It is, in my opinion the best place in the world.
I know there are some things that need to be done to improve our town, and while I have served on the Town Council we have accomplished quite a bit, particularly for the youth of Emery. While there are changes in the world and time does not stand still, I promise to do the best I can to keep Emery as close to being the same town as it was back in 1975. I would appreciate your vote of confidence in November. Thank You
Glen Dale Johnson is running for Green River City Council
I am Glen Dale Johnson. I am a candidate for Green River City council. Some of my qualifications are: experience. two years city council, six years as Green River mayor. I am retired with the time and desire to do whatever I can to make Green River a better place to live, work and play. I have no personal agenda nor am I connected to any business or special interest group. I believe very deeply that every citizen has the God given right to be heard and entitled to all the rights and privileges that are available without discrimination due to race, religion, age, or gender, rich or poor.
I am very concerned about the young people in our town especially those who are in some degree underprivileged and those who need help and guidance through these trying times. I am concerned about some older citizens who depend on getting meals delivered to them on a daily basis. I see roads that we all should be ashamed of, and a water and sewer system that is in need of a constant effort to keep safe and dependable. I see some property owners that are in danger of being flooded again. I see your children and grandchildren going to and from school where no sidewalk exists, some on a busy street where cars have to stop for them.
I know this all takes money. If elected I will do all that I can to make sure your money is spent properly and on the most important and needed projects. I will do all that I can to improve these and other challenging situations that we face. I will do my homework so that when it is time to act I will be prepared.

Julie Jones is running for Huntington City Council
I have been with the city council for almost six years. In this time I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal. Working with the Community Development Block Grants and the citizens, I put in the playground equipment in the Lions Park. I am continuing with the cemetery project and would like to complete the cemetery grounds. I have been active with the Emery County Economic Council and served on the LEPC too. I have been with the Youth City Council for 10 years.
The Youth City Council has done many things and just a few are Huntington’s first afghan, and we put 210 headstones on unmarked graves in the cemetery. The past two years, the Youth City Council throughout the county has made the Lamb Fry a big success and with those proceeds, we have put on some great Youth Leadership Summits that are for all youth 12-18 years.
I just enjoy working and serving for Huntington, mostly for the people. I hope to continue to serve the people and keep Huntington the place where we all can live with our children and grandchildren.
Keith Brady is running for Green River City Council
My name is Keith Brady. I was born in Provo, Utah. I have lived in various places but I have lived most my life in Colorado. I served a honorable full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in South Korea. I finished my Bachelors Degree in Visual Communication in Arizona where we lived for four years.
My family and I moved to Green River a little more than a year ago to purchase the Robbers Roost Motel. We now have three daughters and love being in Green River. My wife and I quickly became active in the community. Currently my wife is the volleyball coach for the 7th/8th grade girls and I am a Small Business Representative for the Southeast Regional Council and a part of the local Tree Board. You might have also seen me driving the bus for Green River High and Bookcliff Elementary.
Hilary Gordon is running for Huntington Mayor
My name is Hilary Gordon and I am the appointed mayor of Huntington City. The opportunity to serve the community is a great privilege. I have six years experience on the city council. I have secured state funding from the Community Impact Board for the cemetery and the Main Street lighting project which was full grant.
My goals for the future of Huntington are to continue to apply for state funding for improvements to the street projects; curb, gutter and asphalting. The council is striving to complete the rodeo ground and parks by adding a skateboard facility and a soccer field to meet the recreational needs of the community. I also view public safety as a priority.
I really love Huntington and want to help preserve the rural lifestyle that we all enjoy. I truly believe that no greater people exist than the ones in our city. I ask for the opportunity to continue to serve as mayor of Huntington. Thank you.
Gary L. Jensen is running for Emery City Council
My name is Gary L. Jensen and I am a candidate for town council in Emery. I was raised in Emery and moved away for several years to make a living. I moved back when I retired nine years ago. I have served on the town council for the past four years and concurrently as town treasurer. I work well with the mayor and other councilpersons. I would appreciate your vote. Thank you.
Clifford Snow is running for Ferron Mayor
I have been a lifetime resident of Ferron. My family has been raised here. My wife Janice taught school here for 20 years. I have a son and his family who reside here. I care deeply about the city and its residents. I am retired now and have time to work for the city.
I have previously served on the city council two different terms, and have had experience dealing with city issues. I also managed two coal mines, Western States Minerals and Luscar Coal in Canada, which has given me experience with management skills. If elected I plan to work for and support the people of Ferron.
Pat Brady is running for Green River City Council
My name is Pat Brady. My wife, Kathy, and I have been married for more than 30 years. We have lived in Green River for six of those years. We have five sons, four daughters-in-law, and three beautiful granddaughters. Two of our sons graduated from Green River High School. We have lived in many other states, which we enjoyed, but we seem to come back to Green River as home. I teach and coach at the high school. I love to be active, and work hard with the youth in the community. I have volunteered my time in many different activities that the community, community center, and school have put on. I have experienced several different cultures and feel blessed by all the varied experiences that I have had in my life.
One thing is common among all the places that my family and I have been and that is that family is the strength of the community. A strong family base creates, if not guarantees, a strong and successful community.
JoAnn Behling is running for Ferron City Council
I have lived in Ferron most of my life and have always loved the people of Ferron. I have been involved in the growth of Ferron assisting in its growth from a town into a city in order to be able to bond for a water system. Having served on the city council several years ago, I was able to be a part of the developing the zoning ordinance so that we became the beautiful city that we are.
I have worked with budgets and know how important it is to live within the budget and yet see that we spend our money wisely getting the most we can for our tax dollars. I’m well acquainted with people involved in State government having served as the Utah Recorder’s Association president, and also on the board for the Utah Association of County Treasurers. I would love to be involved with the city as a council member and feel that because of my past experience with Ferron City and Emery County that I would make a good candidate. I would appreciate your vote this November.
Ronny Bloomer is running for Ferron City Council
Ronny Bloomer is a life long resident of Emery County. He is the son of Bill and Carey Bloomer and grew up in Clawson. Ronny is an Emery High graduate and worked for Stilson Construction for 12 years. He currently lives in Ferron with his wife and two daughters, and is employed by Consol. Ronny is running for the position of councilman to be involved and try to do all he can to improve the quality of life for the residents of Ferron.
