High speed chase leads to arrest

By By

A high speed chase in Green River on Nov. 14 led to the arrest of three subjects from Minnesota who were driving a stolen car.
Utah Highway Patrol trooper Shawn Alton requested backup as he was in pursuit of the car involved in the gas skip from the West Winds truck stop.
Sgt. Gayle Jensen and Deputy Mike Jorgensen responded and set-up on the off ramp at Fremont Junction. Sgt. Jensen advised he was following Trooper Alton westbound. The car continued past the Fremont Junction exit and went about 1.5 miles. They then went across the median and the eastbound lanes and then stopped the car.
The suspects fled on foot from their vehicle. One of the suspects was caught after leaving the vehicle and the other two were caught with the aid of the Utah Highway patrol helicopter. They approached officers and gave themselves up. Those arrested were: Travis Seventson and Cody Seventson and one juvenile.
The two adults are being held in the Emery County detention center on theft and failure to respond to an officer’s signal.
