George Beebe
FRUITA, Colo.-George David Beebe, 60, of Fruita, Colo. passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at his home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the New Elmwood Cemetery, Fruita, followed by a get-together and luncheon with his friends and family.
George was born Feb. 21, 1947 in Fruita, Colo., to the late Ruby Lee Tomlinson Beebe and Richard David Beebe. Highly valuing education, he had a passion for teaching young minds. This three decade long passion, along with the love of the outdoors, lead to the creation of Beebe Canyon at Scenic Elementary for his effort.
George was active in the Masonic Lodge for many honorable years. He was very social, and touched the lives of many… all who knew him loved him tremendously. Nothing was more important to him than his loving, and devoted family.
George is survived and sorely missed by his sister Mary Lou (Chuck) Rader and children, son Richard (Christina) Beebe, son Lawrence (Cassandra) Beebe, grandchildren Alexis and Kaydence Beebe.

Helen Giraud
PRICE- Helen Lorraine Lampshire Giraud, age 82, passed away Nov. 17, 2007 with her loving family around her.
Her strength, courage, and wisdom was an inspiration to us all. She is the center of our family.
She is the daughter of James E. and Esther Jones Lampshire born May 9, 1925 in Grand Junction, Colo.
The family lived in Wattis, Utah with her siblings Duane, James, Shirley, Gale and Frankie. She enjoyed sewing with her sister.
She married Emil Giraud, Aug. 1, 1946, shortly after he returned from the War. They spent 61 years together in Price, Utah. She took care of everyone she loved. Her family was everything to her.
Helen is survived by her husband, Emil; children, Greg, Gary (Geri), James, Mike, Jerry (Loni); grandchildren, Gary Dean (Jodi), Brandon (Jenny), Michelle (Jeremy), Gena, Mike, Jennifer (Ray), Jeremy, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Kerrisa, Gavin, Joey, Taylor, Jacob, Cayla, Mackenzie, and Serenitie.
She stayed here as long as she could for her family. She in now in a better place. We all love her and will miss her dearly. Special thanks to Tisa at Community Nursing Services Hospice.
Family will be at the Holiday Inn, 838 Westwood Blvd., Price, for an open house, Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, from 12 Noon-3 p.m. Graveside service Woodlawn Cemetery, Bremerton, Wash., at a later date.
Raymond R. Sitterud
“He went about doing good.”
ORANGEVILLE, Utah�Raymond R. Sitterud went home in the early morning of Nov. 19, 2007. He was born April 12, 1917 in Orangeville, Utah, to Jesse Randolph and Edna Stilson Sitterud. He married Myrleen Alger in the Mesa Ariz. LDS Temple on Oct. 26, 1943.
Raymond was the second of 16 children, and he helped support his family by working with his dad and brother in local coal mines. He worked in the mining industry all his life: at the Deseret Mine for 20 years, and then as mine superintendent at Deer Creek Mine until his retirement.
He met his sweetheart, Myrleen Alger, at a dance at the Wilberg Dance Hall. They were married following his LDS mission to the Southern States. They were married 64 years. He served in the US Army for three years during World War II. He and his wife retired to go on an LDS mission to Anchorage, Alaska. They also served together in the Nauvoo Illinois Mission, as stake missionaries, and as ordinance workers in the Manti Temple. Raymond also served a stake mission with Glen Bott. He was called as bishop of the Orangeville Ward when he was 28, and served for nine years. He was a high councilman for 11 years and was a branch president in Haines, Alaska.
Ray was active in the community as well. He served as county commissioner for two terms during the building of the Joe’s Valley Dam. For 12 years, he was mayor of Orangeville and helped establish the sewer system and water treatment plant into the city. He served on the Emery County Nursing Home Board for 30 years, the Emery County Special Service Board, was on the original board of the Emery Telephone Company, and served as chairman of the Southeastern Utah Development Council.
His life has been one of service to his family, his church, and his community. Woodworking has been his hobby, and he has shared his talents with so many. He also loved sharing the bounties of his garden with neighbors and friends. His way with children, his teasing sense of humor, his healing hands, and his familiarity with the scriptures will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife: Myrleen; children: Terrance Ray, Cheverly. Md.; Clyde Edgar (Patricia), Highland; Shellee (Patrick) Dooley, Lehi; Laurel (Scott) Johansen, Castle Dale; brothers: Neldon and Mac; sisters: Selma Tuttle, Ruth Cox, Karen Barton, Phyllis May, Velda Crumpley, Sally Ryan, Sue Johnson, Connie Jones, and Colleen Defriez; and 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters: Elva Sitterud and Bessie McArthur; brothers: Clyde Stilson Sitterud and J. LaVar Sitterud; and a grandson: Matthew Ian Dooley.
Funeral services will be Nov. 24, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Castle Dale Third Ward LDS Chapel at 165 West 800 North, Castle Dale. Visitations will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at Fausett Mortuary at 720 North Center in Castle Dale and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Orangeville Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
