PRICE-Kendell Branch, age 66, died Tuesday Dec., 22, 2009 in Price, Utah from pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 14, 1943 in Price, Utah to Hollis Branch and Ruth Denison. He married Beverly Atwood on April 13, 1968 in the Manti Temple. They have had a wonderful life together and in the last stages of his cancer they spent many nights remembering the fun times they shared together.
Kendell spent approximately 36 years in the banking and finance business.
Kendell had a great love for horses and even won several trophies, as a jockey, on his thoroughbred horse, “High Step K”. He enjoyed spending time with his father working on the farm and riding horses on the trail.
He had a great love for all sports, but his heart was really in his childhood pastime of baseball. He coached all of his sons in Little League baseball. He loved to run and even completed a half marathon.
He loved sharing family stories with his grandchildren in hopes those stories would serve as examples to them.
Kendell was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints his entire life. As a young man he served an honorable mission in England. He served in many church callings including Bishoprics, high Council, Stake Mission President, Young Men’s Presidency, Varsity Scout Leader, Gospel Doctrine teacher, etc.
Kendell had a great love for our Savior Jesus Christ and His atonement. The song, “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” best describes Kendell’s testimony. He loved to study about the life of Joseph Smith and his teachings. Kendell and Beverly will always remember their trip to the Sacred Grove.
