Huntington Glee Club Program
July 3 at 7 p.m. is the Huntington Glee Club patriotic program at the Huntington Stake Center. This year’s speaker will be President Keith G Leonard of the LDS St. George Utah Mission. The concert will also include a tribute to President Leonard’s father, Lund Leonard, who was a driving force in shaping the Heritage Days celebration in addition to being a long-time member of the Glee Club.

A Lamb Fry Vendor is needed for the Emery County Fair on Aug. 4, 5, and 6. The vendor needs to organize and run the event. He or she will keep the profits.
Summer 4-H Activity Registration

AQUATIC CENTER
Lifeguard Certification Class
Emery County Aquatic Center will be teaching a lifeguard certification class for adults who are at least 21 years old. There is a $100 fee. Maximum class size is 10 and consists of 31.5 hours of instruction. After you become certified you will be eligible to apply for an “open” position as a lifeguard at the Aquatic Center. Orangeville City
is having a problem with VANDALISM IN THE PARK we would like to curb the problem by getting a notice out of those using our parks or driving by if they see something going on that is out of place. Some of the problems we are having our the pad locks are being cut off from the power boxes or power boxes broken into &/or destroyed, swings being cut off, smoking in the restrooms, making big messess in the restrooms, destroying roofs of the park buildings & pavilions, picnic tables being moved so kids can climb onto the roofs to skate off the building or similar activity, destoring the trees and bushes. The city is asking parents to be alert while at the park in what is going on and reports immediately when you see any of these things happening or destruction going on. Remember this is your parks and tax dollars that is being violated. Please call the Sheriffs office or Orangeville City.

Natasha Nicole Brinkerhoff, the daughter of Dave and Joan Brinkerhoff of Orangeville, is a 19 year old vibrant girl. In 2009 she was diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer localized on her head. She beat that cancer like a champ.
But on April 5, 2011 she was diagnosed with stage IV Melanoma in her lungs, the most severe type of melanoma. She has tumors all over her lungs. Treatment will cost up to hundreds and thousands of dollars.

Self-guided presentation walks students through the sometimes-confusing financial aid application process. The Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority is very pleased to announce “Navigating the FAFSA,” a much-needed new resource to help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (commonly called the “FAFSA”). This tool is a self-directed presentation that guides students through topics explaining the purpose of the FAFSA, how to obtain a PIN to sign their FAFSA securely online, what information should be gathered, how to complete the FAFSA, and how to submit it. CASA Volunteers Needed
Each year hundreds of children in Emery and Carbon counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The child welfare system can only devote so much time and attention to each individual case and, consequently, to each individual child. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteers are ordinary men and women who find it in their hearts and their schedules to help these abused and neglected children.
