Green River Epicenter needs donations

By By

The Green River Epicenter is asking for everyone’s financial support of their 2011 Capital Campaign by donating through the recently launched Kickstarter page. Log onto http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1562098309/project-green-river-an-art-music-and-film-festival.
Two years ago, the Epicenter began through a pamphlet campaign (video here), as they mobilized an effort to raise $20,000 for matching funds for the USDA Rural Development grant they had applied for. They reached and surpassed their goal through the generosity of families, friends, allies, and a network of supporters. They value their organization’s focus on utilizing the support of non-governmental funds through private donations and grants.
Since 2009, they haven’t held a capital campaign due to the support of “you” along with USDA, Bike and Build, Union Pacific, AmeriCorps, the City of Green River, and their many financial and in-kind supporters.
In this new year, they are seeking to raise capital for Project Green River , a music/art/film festival the Epicenter organizes and holds. In its second year, PGR will be held on the town’s annual Melon Days celebration, a 106-year tradition celebrating the best melons in the world.
Visit the Kickstarter pageto donate online with the convenience of using your credit card.
If you’re unable to donate at this time, they ask that you keep track of them on the blog (http://epicenter.tumblr.com) and spread the word about the Epicenter. They also value in-kind donations of materials and services; contact them if you are able to provide in-kind donations.
