NORTH OGDEN/SUNNYSIDE-Alta Alena Ripplinger Preston, age 94, passed away on Sept. 6, 2011 in Bountiful, Utah, after a short battle of cancer. She was born Oct. 8, 1916 in Tabor, Idaho to Karl and Alena Daniels Ripplinger. She married James Glenn Preston on May 15, 1937 in Price, Utah; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Stake Center. A viewing was held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South – Price, Utah) and on Friday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment was in the Valley View Cemetery in Sunnyside, Utah.
