She spent most of her life in Carbon County. Her parents and grandparents immigrated from Wales and England to work in the Utah coal mines. When her grandfather Howard held her for the first time he lovingly called her “Little Toot” and much to her dislike the nickname stuck throughout her life.
“Toots” was an excellent homemaker. She loved being at home cooking, baking and sharing with family and friends. Rock hunting was her passion. She was thrilled to find a perfect petrified pine cone. Her favorite spot was Cedar Mountain. She especially enjoyed her association with the Carbon County Rock Hound Club. She served in the Primary and Relief Society Presidencies. She enjoyed teaching Primary, working on family history and in later years serving as an extraction worker.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of the Emery County Care Center, her good neighbors, ward member and all those who were so kind to her.
