Girls soccer at Emery high School played their very first game ever last week as the Lady Spartans hosted Juab on Tuesday afternoon. The two teams ended the game in a 2-2 tie with Spartans Morgan Hurdsman and Sarah Swasey scoring goals for the Spartan team.
Emery then hosted their second game of the season on Thursday afternoon as they played South Sevier. Emery got out to the early lead and led 3-0 before the Lady Rams came back and tied the score at 3-3, which is how the game ended. Hurdsman scored her second goal of the season in this game and Tiana Jensen and Chloe Sermon also scored goals in the game.
Mileena McElvaney is Emery’s goalie and did a good job keeping the opponents at bay as the Emery girls start a new sport on the high school level.
