CLEVELAND-Our beloved Heather Dawn Ward Jacobson, age 38, and her son, Broc Duane Jacobson were received into the waiting arms of Heavenly Father on Aug. 15, 2015.
Heather was born Feb. 3, 1977 in Price, Utah to Scott Lee and Cindy Ariotti Ward. She married her high school sweetheart, Landon Kirk Jacobson on Jan. 25, 1997 in the Manti Temple and they were blessed with four wonderful children.
Heather was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a lifelong resident of Emery County and a graduate of Emery High Class of 1995. Heather also attended the College of Eastern Utah and Utah State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Psychology where she was in the top of her class. She was presently employed with the Emery County School District in Cleveland as a Special Education Teacher. Heather touched and influenced the lives of every student she came in contact with. She was a kind hearted, loving and soft spoken educator who never said a harsh word towards anyone.
Family was everything to Heather, and she encouraged her children to chase their dreams no matter what. Heather had a great love for all sports and she enjoyed watching and playing with her kids. She was their biggest fan and she always wanted the best for everyone else. Her contagious smile and supportive ways will be cherished in our hearts forever.
Heather is survived by her husband, Landon Jacobson, two sons and one daughter, Bowdie, Brant and Baylee Jacobson, parents, Scott and Cindy Ward, mother-in-law, Sue Jacobson, sister and brother, Ashlee (Jeremy) Stansfield, Jesse (Kisty) Ward, all of Cleveland; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charity (Dean) Stilson, Laci (Travis) Tuttle, both of Orangeville, Alissa (Ted) Allen, Cleveland, Laura (James) Merrill, Logan, Alisa (Don) Kranendonk, Darin (Cynthia) Lancaster, both of Price, Paul (Shelly) Lancaster, Ryan (Audrey) Lancaster, both of Idaho; grandparents, Ray and Marie Ariotti, Price, Norma Dean Barrow, Central. Heather also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, co-workers and students whom love her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Broc Jacobson; in-laws, Kirk and Sherry Jacobson; grandparents, Duane and Vernice Ward, Harvey and Gwendolyn Jacobson and George Barrow.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, 11 a.m. at the Huntington Stake Center (240 North Main) in Huntington. Family will receive friends at the Stake Center Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Cleveland City Cemetery.
