The community came together for a fund raiser for Kina Jewkes. She is the daughter of Greg and Jennifer Jewkes of Orangeville. She is 10 years old and in need of a liver transplant. Doctors are performing tests now to find the right match for a donor.
In addition to the Spaghetti dinner and silent auction there is an ongoing raffle until the middle of November. Some of the items in the raffle are a gun, yeti cooler filled with items any fisherman or hunter would love, homemade quilt, baby afghans, $100 worth of meat from Stewarts, Super Wave Oven and Motorized Razor Scooter and other items.
Tickets for the raffle are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Jones Ace Hardware has the gun and yeti cooler on display and tickets can be purchased there. At the home volleyball, football, and a few basketball games, tickets will also be sold for the raffle.
