On the evening of Wednesday, November 2, 2016 James Gerald Peterson passed away at the age of 23 from a terrible accident along with his loving mother about 8 miles east of Hiawatha.
James was born on April 17, 1993 in Midvale, Utah. He was the fourth child of Shane and Susan Peterson. James had 14 brothers and sisters.
He was an extremely strong, talented, and charitable young man. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. He had a strong influence on everyone he came in contact with.
His best friends and family admired his talents and loyalty. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drawing, song writing, skating and video games.
James was loved and admired, especially by his younger siblings. They all enjoyed every minute they shared together. James would like special thanks to go to the following people: Father: Shane Peterson, Brothers: Erik, Miles, and Seth Peterson, and Cousins: Amos and Samuel Brown, and Walter Jackson.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend.”-John 15:13
James is survived by his father Shane Peterson, 14 siblings, grandparents Gordon and Margrethe Peterson, and Ilene Hansen, and relatives too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his mother Susan Peterson, grandfather Gerald Hansen, and cousins Burton Brown and Ashley Hansen.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, 620 North Main, Huntington, Utah from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at Ferron Millsite LDS Ward at 35 West 200 North (on the hill), at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 9-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
