The Manti-La Sal National Forest is providing a 30-day review period on the Draft Assessment Report beginning on June 22, 2017. The Draft Assessment Report evaluates the current ecological, physical, social, and economic trends and conditions of the Forest, and documents the first phase of Forest Plan Revision.
To obtain a copy of the Draft Assessment Report, members of the public can visit the Manti-La Sal National Forests’ webpage at: http://www.fs.usda.gov/main/mantilasal/landmanagement/planning. The Forest will also be available to discuss the Draft Assessment Report at seven public open houses scheduled during June and July in communities near the Forest. Please visit the webpage for more information on the public meetings.
While comments received during the comment period will be especially helpful, the public will have further opportunities throughout the plan revision phase and NEPA scoping to provide comments on information in the assessment or provide new information as it relates to development of the new Forest Plan.
Comments on the Draft Assessment Report may be submitted electronically online or email, by mail, or in person at the Manti-La Sal National Forests’ Supervisor’s Office at 599 W. Price River Drive, Price, UT 84501. Additional instructions on ‘How to Comment’ are available on our planning webpage.

The Manti-La Sal National Forest is hosting public open houses starting June 27. The purpose of the open houses is to share the status of the Forest Plan Revision effort, to introduce the Draft Assessment Report, and to provide information on the next steps of the plan revision process.
The open houses will be held at seven locations in communities near the Forest and will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Attendees can attend at any time during the two-hours. Forest service personnel will be available to provide information and collect feedback from the public.
