The Utah Department of Transportation will begin an asphalt overlay project on 7.2 miles of SR-1306 (Ridge Road) in Carbon County on June 3.
The road will be closed to coal traffic from 6 a.m. Fri., June 3 until 6 p.m. Mon., June 6 from RP 0.0 to RP 2.5 (the intersection of SR-10 and SR-1306 to the east side of the coal load-out intersection).
Truck traffic will be allowed to resume at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 6, but will be limited to RP 000 (SR-10) to RP 2.5 (coal load-out intersection). The remainder of the project will be completed by the end of June.
Local traffic will have access to SR-1307 (Ridge Road) throughout the project.
Flaggers will direct traffic through the project. Motorists are urged to use caution, prepare to stop and watch for work crews and heavy equipment throughout the area.
Asphalt paving work will be performed during daylight hours only with heavy equipment maintenance work performed at night.
